  • UltraSound

Ultrasound (u/s) technology is used as a diagnostic tool for more complicated medical cases. The u/s is a device that uses sound waves to create an image of the internal organs. Dr. Bollinger is specially trained in abdominal and cardiothoracic ultrasound imaging. The images are then submitted to a Board Certificed Radiologist for interpretation. The u/s is a very non-invasive way to gather further information as to what may be causing your pet to be ill. Vetsuite_Img_44045

The advantages of laser surgery include:
    --Less pain
    --Less bleeding

  • Dental Care

The Veterinary Medical Group of Des Moines offers full service dental prophylaxis, preventative dental care, and oral surgery for our canine and feline patients. We use ultrasonic scaling equipment, which allows us to perform subgingival cleaning (below the gum line). We also perform high speed hand piece polishing similar to that used in human dental offices. Along with our state-of-the-art dental cleaning, we offer digital dental radiographs to see below the crown of the tooth to evaluate for periodontal disease and gingivitis.Vetsuite_Img_44049

  • Digital Dental Radiography

One of the most effective tools in veterinary dentistry is digital dental radiology equipment. This tool gives veterinarian the ability to see beneath the gumline to evaluate the integrity of the tooth roots. We have the instantaneous images which allow us the ability to efficiently evaluate problems within your pet's mouth while they are under anesthesia. This is the greatest tool that we have in our world of veterinary medicine to allow us to excel at the dental care that we provide out patients.Vetsuite_Img_44050

  • Microchipping

Microchipping in animals is a pet identification system with an unique identification code. The microchip is approximately the size of a grain of rice and is implated between the shoulder blades of your pet. There is a national database system that can be accessed by participating animal shelters and veterinary clinics. The identificaion number is called into the microchip database system and the pet owner is notified when their animal is located.

Currently, we are using the HomeAgain Pet Recovery System.
